SOUTHERN MARKETS. POTATOES REMAIN STAGNANT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. There is very little change in the produce market. Oats were n little firmer to-day and one offer was made for A grade Gartons at 3s Gd f.o.b. SI. Last week no such offer would have been made, but the position now Is that (merchants are not holding any stocks and there are no supplies coming in from the country.

The linseed market is a little easier, and a Sydney enquiry received to-day was baaed on £1 a ton less than the rate offered last week.

Potatoes remain stagnant. A line was bought to-day at 30s, which is 5s below last week’s rate. Farmers will sell wherever they can, but very few orders are coming iu. The Wingatui, after loading 6UOO tons from Oamaru and Tlmaru, took on a large quantity at Lyttelton, from which port she sailed to-day for Auckland. It is not anticipated locally that there will be sufficient demand from Auckland to improve the position here. AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. Auckland, Last Night.
