BRITAIN ACCEPTS INVITATION. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, August 22. The State Department has received Britain’s official acceptance of the invitation to the Disarmament Conference. The Note states that Britain is in whole-hearted sympathy with the object of the conference, and will approach the meeting in a spirit of courage, friendliness and mutual understanding.

LABOR TO BE REPRESENTED. New York, August 22. Mr. Gompers, addressing the Executive Council of the American Federation of Labor at Atlantic City, declared that President Harding favored Labor’s request for representation at the Disarmament Conference.
