BOWLING.

MEETING OF CENTRE. The executive of the Taranaki Cowling Centre met on Tuesday. In connection with the Auckland Centre's teair, It was decided to write, suggesting slight alterations in the proposed programme so as to allow more time being spent by the visitors in Taranaki. It was decided that, In view of the fact Ihat Hawora would have to travel on three occasions on other than their half-holiday that the sub-committee lie asked to rearrange fixtures in the southern division, so that the matches Hawera v. Stratford, and Hawera v. Avon to he played at Stratford on Wednesday, and that the fixtures let ween Inglewonrt and Hawera stand as drawn.

A wire was received from the president of Hie Elttaaii Club, and the hope was expressed that Elcham would participate in the competition.

The programme of the tournament is to be submitted to the Association for appreval. The proposal to hold a. scaled handicap in connection with tho tournament was rejected. Mr J. D. Sole was appointed delegate to the Dominion conference to be held in January.
