The Kev. L. B. Neale expressed tlie regret of the church people at the impending departure of Mr. and Airs. Huse after so long a residence in Mulhirst, they having been amongst the earliest settlers in the township. The Stratford Retailers' Association has decided to keep open until 11 o'clock on People's Day of the Show (November 25 1, not 10 o'clock as stated in the report of the annual meeting which appeared yesterday. The secretary of the Stratford branch of the f.0.0.P. (Manchester Unity) has received a letter from Mr. Clutha Mackenzie acknowledging with much gratitude the generous gift of £,?> from the branch towards the "After Care Fund for Blinded Soldiers."
At the Stanley Road Church grounds to-morrow (Thursday) afternoon, at ] o'clock, Mr. T. J. Lamason will conduct a, clearing sale in connection with the Methodist Forward Movement. The Druids of Stratford have arranged to hold their first annual dance in the Town Hall on November 25 (Show night). A first-class orchestra is being engaged and a, splendid supper will be provided.
