CHARGE OF CHILD MURDER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Nov. 13. An adjourned inquest touching the. death of a newly-born male child, the body of which was found in an outhouse at Meanee, was held to-day. The coroner, Mr. Dyer, S.M., found that the cause of death was axphyxia caused by the child being left in the pan of a closet. Phoebe Cattanach, the mother, was then charged with the murder of her illegitimate child, and was remanded in custody. GISBORNE STRIKE SETTLED. Giaborne, Nov. 13. The waterside trouble has been settled and the men are resuming work.
