CHRISTCEURCH RACES, CONCLUDING DAY'S RESULTS. SURVEYOR WINS STEAD CUP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Christchurch, Nov. 13. The Canterbury Jockey Club's Metropolitan meeting was concluded to-day. The weather was dull and wintry at the start, and light rain set in after the fifth race and developed iyito a downpour before the conclusion of tlio programme. There was a good attendance, and the course was in good order till near the end, when It cut up and became heavy, The totalisator handled £9(i,COC 10s, making a total for the meeting of £340,141. as against £259,979 10s last year. (By Wire.—Special to News.) Christchurch, Last Night. The seven competitors for the Suburban Hurdles Handicap included three newcomers, Endure, All Serene, and War Tax. It was a great betting race between five, while Good Hope also bad many friends, War Tax alone being neglefS* Falstatt went well till half a mile fr* home, wlien Jack Symons had his moasure.J Th'cfi Good Hope appeared on the scene and raced from the last hurdle with Jack Symons, whom he beat by a nose in the last strike. This was Good Hope's first success over hurdles. All Serene gave a shockingly had exhibition.

There were fourteen starters for the Cressy Welter Handicap. Killowen and Fabrinade showed a lot of pace for five furlongs and then dropped out. t Right and Left was going well from the distance, and he stayed on well to beat Cashmere, who ctwne with a late run. Counterstroke was third, but- he was stopping. Then caino .Miss Gold, going very fast at. the end.

The Seymour Handicap, in which only apprentices were engaged, saw Royal Mac out in front early, followed by Battle Scene and Algidus. Nothing ever got near Royal Mae, who won with rldieulotm ease, with Battle. Seejte and Algidus next, followed by Chaeronia. Adopted, and High Heels. The favorite, Princo Hal, ran only a moderate race. Royal Mac, lrke the previous winner. Right and Left, was one of tho beaten lot in the Derby. He is a good sort of a gelding, who will win good races later on in the season.

The Members' Handicap was a good betting race. There were fourteen starters, Radial, Clean Sweep, Maioha, and Chrysostom being solely lihcked. While fiiur others tofcped I lie thousand mark. Clrysostom was smartest out, but at the end of n furlong Hymestra took charge, Chrysostom dropping back suddenly, while Mlolisclu. Chimera, and Will Oakland were also going well. In the rim down the straight Chrysostom just got up and beat Hy.ineslra by a neck. Chimera wan' two lengths awa-y, followed by Miss Mimic and Radial, both finishing fast alongside Michaela. Tl:e winner's performance was a good one.

The Pioneer Handicap for two-year-olds drew a Held of leu. Meteorite and Tatau Tatiiu showed n lot. of pace in the early stages, hut over the last furlong Palestrina drew away and wan comfortably from Grotesque, with Tapairu close up, followed by Meteorite and Princess Pat. The winner, who is a handsome Ally, Is the first of the progeny of tho imported sire Clarenccux to win a race.

A field of nine lined up for the fi. 0. Stead Memorial Cold Cup. Avrowsmith was a strong favorite, willj Duo, and Mr. W. C. Stead's pair Survcyey and Delight also l'aincled. Humbug jumped out in front and showed tl'.e way along the back to Winter Wind and Deilight, the latter pair being joined at the sis furlongs post by Duo. All this time Arrowsmith and Surveyor had been well back, but turning for home they moved up. At the distance most of the field were in close order, with Winter Wind just showing in front. Surveyor got a dear run on Ihe rails, and wan comMrtalnly by two lengths, while a desperate race for the places resulted In Duo, Arrowsmitl:, Winter Wind, and Vespucci finishing in that order. The

luck f.f the race war, with Surrcyor who was on tin. rails all ilie way, and Arrowsmith, covering a lot of ground round 1 lie turn, had a lot lo do with the result. .There were four starters for the Electric Plate, hut all the interest centred in Gloaming and Rational, the Kemball bracket, Weldone and Dmicdin, attracting very Jiitlo attention. Gloaming was favorite. He and national were together from the jump off, hut over the last furlong Gloaming won as lie liked.

A dozen horses took nart in the Feudal ton Handicap. Tigritiya led Itoyal Stag and lieu Bolt to the straight, hut Rude, who was favorite, had the race well In hand at tho distance, and he won easily from Kilgour and Warlike, with Warlove and Ben Bolt close up. Royal Stag faded out, but if he remains sound ho will do better over a journey later in the season. Rude raced consistently at the meeting, and his win was well earned.
