MOTION TO EXPEL MAHON*. By Telegraph.—rress Assn Copyright. Melbourne, Xov. 10. In the House of Representatives, .Mr. Hughes stated that he had sent Mr. Mahon a letter announcing his intention to move a motion for Mr Million 1 * expulsion from the House in view of his disloyal speech. The letter was delivered by Mr. Hughes' secretary, buUMr. Mahon stated that lie would not be able to attend the House as he was suffering from a sprained ankle. Mr. Hughes added that he would move on Thursday that Mr. Mahou be expelled from the House, as he had proved himself to be unfit to be a member by his seditious and disloyal utterances.
The Synod and the Presbyterian General Assembly carried a motion expressing disapproval and viewing with horror Mr. Million's disloyal utterances.
It is staled that both 'the Ministerial and Country Parlies arc n, agreement ou the question of Mr. Mahon's expulsion. INDUSTRIAL UPHEAVAL POSSIBLE. Melbourne, Nov. 10. Victoria is threatened with a cessation of coal supplies as a result of.the Government refusing to abide by the recent award given by Mr. Charles Hibble. chairman of the coal tribunal. It is stated that unless action is taken in a few days, Victoria and probably the Commonwealth will see au industrial upheaval. COLOKKD SHOPKEEPERS BARRED. Perth, Nov. 10. The Assembly is discussing, the Factories and Shops Bill, It decided to close all. shops at six o'clock on Friday night mid lo prohibit Asiatics, Africans and Polynesians from being registered as shopkeepers or assistants.
