THE PRINCE OF WALES.
HIGH IN CANADIAN FAVOR. By Teleßraph.—Pi'ess Assn.—Copyright. New York, August 16. Special correspondents, describing the reception of the Prince of Wales at St. John, comment in glowing terms upon the way in which the Prince's democracy won the hearts of Canadians. The World's correspondent states that the Prince acknowledged his reception with dignity and poise, despite a certain youthful shyness. Canadians noted how the Prince readily mixed with all classes.
The Times' correspondent says everybody is impressed with the' Prince's domocracy and frank appreciation of his welcome.
New York papers say the Prince of Wales will receive the heartiest of receptions on his visit to New York.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THOUSANDS WITNESS HIS ARRIVAL. Received August 19, 1.15 a.m. Halifax, August 17. Thousands gathered at the waterfront on purpose to watch the Prince of Wales enter the harbor aboard a warship, Canadian aviators circled over the cruiser Dragon and the battleship Renown. The Italian, French, and American warships in the harbor fired royal salutes. The Prince's' Canadian itinerary is officially announced. He will travel 8800 miles, and visit 53 cities in all parts of the Dominion. The Prince will visit the United States about November 1.
A DINNER ABOARD THE RENOWN.
