When I say that many of the old residents voted tho concert the "best amateur show" yet staged in Okato, some idea will be formed of its excellence. The guild had arranged a drawing room stage, with curtains, flags, carpets, and a wealth of furniture, which gave the entertainment quite a cosy, homely view. Performers were mostly visitors from down tha coast, several of them coming from Opunake. Tho drawing "card" was, of course, the Rev. Papakakura, who gave of his best, delighting young and oUIThis talented vocalist generously contributed no less than five solos, and, in addition, sang in a concerted item with the brothers and.M, Hughson.
