The fall was light, but wa:< never- ! theless welcome. The borough ami county engineers inform me that the dry weather is very destructive on some of the roads. The chairman of the Chamber of Commerce has been informed by telegram that a Gazette notice would be published to-day regarding sheepskins, and that the sales would be pushed forward as quickly as possible. So far, eleven men will leave Stratford for Trentham with the 2(>th Reinforcements on Monday, sth inst. Messrs J. W. Deem (Field Supervisor) and W. Dribble (Assistant Field Supervisor) have been inspecting farms in this district lately, and also giving instructions in stacking ensilage. Samples of the iron-work (by boys) and leather goods (by - girls) made at the Technical College, New Plymouth, arc on view at Messrs J. Masters & Son's shop. T. Lamason's sale is advertised for Saturday, when he will offer for sale boots, quantity of furniture, and fruit by auction and private sale. T. LAMASOX'S WEEKLY REPORT. 'Last Saturday we had a very successful sale. Poultry and general produce and fruit were in keen demand. We quote as follows:—CVkoreh-, Is (id to 2s Cd; hens. Is (id to lis; ducks, 2s to 3s (id; potatoes, Os to 10s cwt.; onions, lis to 12s; pollard, 14s Cd per sack. Fruit— Blue diamond plums, tis 2-111). ease; Burbanks, 2s to 4s; other varieties, 2s to ss; nectarines, 4s to lis.
