The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Stratford branch, report as, follows: On Friday, 20th October, we held our irnal Tarata sale, when we had a small entry, hut everything in the yard was sold at full market values. Bui's made up to £l2, heifer* '£a 12s to £8 10s, ewe."; a.id lambs 355. 0:u next sale at tlik point will be held on 17th November. On Friday, 27th October we held our sale at Matau. There was only a small yarding, but the demand wa= good. Yearling heifers made from £'.'• to £•") Ws lid, yearling steers £5, 20-months heifers £.5 17s lid to £7, bulls £< 17s (Id to £') 2s fid. The date of our next sale at Matau has not yet been decided on. On Monday, 30t!i October, w. held our Supplementary Bull Fair. We oll'eicd 47 bulls, and sold 32. Prices were not so good as at the previous sale, as fanners did not appear to want to purchase quality, sc nothing of a very high price war sold. .Jerseys, in demand',' from £7 5s to £f lfls. At the Dairy Yards on tlu same date wc had a fair entry, most of which were sold at the following prices:— Small heifers, 20 months to twd years old, from £5 17s fid to £8 10s; medium heifers, £8 UV to £lO, fail to good £lO 10s to £l3; boar, 2 guineas.
