In His opinion too much time is devoted to mining, He states that the country is in urgent need of a scientific investigation .of the .water supply and railways, which give infinitely better returns than mining. AID FOR RETURNED SODIERS. Perth, April 18. Speaking at a patriotic carnival Mr. Seaddcn, the Premier expressed the opinion that nothing but taxation would ensure that returned soldiers were not neglected.
