ELLERSLIE TRAINING NOTES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Auckland, April 18. The weather was fine but cold for training operations at Ellerslie this morning. All the work of importance was _ registered on the course proper, outside the trestles, which was in good order as the result of the recent rain. Loloma beat Signo over six furlongs in 1.221-5; Mandoline did the same distance in 1.221-5; Tact covered four furlongs in 521-ssec; Cultriform and Bowler ran the same distance in 53sec; Mullingar, with the assistance of Harlestone over the last six furlongs, sprinted over a mile from the new post in 1.444-5; Honey Bee ran five furlongs from the new post in 1.5 4-5; Merrie Roe and Self covered seven ' furlongs in 1.321-5; Colonel Soult did the best gallop this season over seven furlongs, with the assistance of Autumn Rose for the last five (the latter was of no use) in 1.29 3-5, the Easter candidate had only a lightweight up; Kauri King and Te Papapa reached the end of the same distance in 1.331-5; Centre and Hydros did five furlongs on the tan in 1.81-5; Hexton, Multifual, and 'Lady Mabel finished in that aider over five' furlongs from the new post in 1.3 3-5; Hyttus, with neek-sweaters on, covered five furlongs on the tan in 1.8; Goldsize, with the assistance of Gold Lac for the last seven furlongs, covered a round in 2.5; Kitty Bellairs ran four furlongs in 50 4-osec; Glenroy, with the assistance of Crown Pearl for the last siv furlongs, covered seven furlongs in 1.33 3-5, the former tired at the finish; Downham sprinted seven furlongs in 1.35 3-5; Vascular, Brookfield, and Tragedy King were in that order after a gallop over five hurdles; Royal Arms ran a mile from the new post in 1.51 2-5. A lot of other's, including Chortle, Multiplication, Multiply, Bravest and Anxious, also worked.

Motokio has been scratched' for the Autumn Steeplechase.
