The Daily News Parliamentary correspondent says that the Government has created a new general staff. London, Nov. 1. The English woman, a correspondent of a London newspaper, who originated the statement that Australasian soldiers were sleeping on the Embankment, owing to delay in receiving their pay, has informed the High Commissioner that after making full inquiries she is convinced that the allegation is untrue. Scotland Yard states that no Australian or New Zealand soldier has ever been seen shelterless.
