AWARDS FOR BRAVERY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The Court of Directors of the Royal Humane Society made the following awards to-day:— The ease of Charles J. F. Lansdown (42) for rescuing William Guthrie (45) from drowning at Wellington on December 11, 1014.—Letter of Commendation. The ease of James Gordon (45), lor attempting to rescue Elizabeth and Lav-1-ence Kesyler from drowning at Deep Creek, on January 15, 1915.—Branz'e Medal. The case of Ronald John Stephens (12), for attempting to rescue Turanga Mohi from drowning at West Shore, on February 14, 1915—Letter of Commendation. The case of James A. Westwood (30) and Walter A. Smith (31), for rescuing Mr, James from drowning at Lyall Bay\ on May 2, 1915.—N0 award, as therewas no personal risk. The ease of Albin R. Durbridge (28), for rescuing Sydney Shaw (26), from drawning at Panmure, on December 5, 1914. —Bronze Medal.
