CLAIMS AMICABLY SETTLED, f By Telegraph.—Press Association. "V Auckland. May 17. * The flaims of twenty-throe widow* sirisin" from loss of tli.'ir breadwinner* in tlie disaster at Ralph's Mine, Huntly, on September 12 have been amicably, settled. In the original claim earh ■widow assessed the damages done at £loool' Tlio following are the terms of settlement :•—Sixteen widows receive £7?5 eaeli; in five oases die applicants W eeive .C'.'IKI eaijli, and in one case wheMt orphans were left the children receive :CIOOO. In another ease where there was nil lejial claim on the company t|ie" sufferer was planted .CM), making i total of £14,500. The company wIK also pay all legal expenses. [^
