Sydney, July G. Tlio sheep sales have concluded. Prices were low to the close. In British breeds 800 were auctioned, against 2500 in the previous vear. EFFECTS OF THE LAND TAX. ■Sydney, July 6. The annual report of the Commissioner of the Land Tax indicates a substantial subdivision movement among owners as the result of the tax, while purchases by taxpayers indicate that it has not debarred many from increasing their holdings.
