The New Zealanders played their second match against Queensland and were again victorious, scoring 14 points to their opponent's 10: The weather was dull and the ground soaked, the attendance only being a few hundred. Kenneally, Moir, Deevan, Irvine, Evans, and Brownlee replaced Weston, Bradley, Rukutai, Dunning, King and Francis in the New Zealand team, whilst Garrard, Heckey, Hazleton, Mnrtagh, and Dean replaced Lynch, Hooker, Farnsworth, Collins and McKay in the local team. The opening stages greatly favored the Queenslandrs. Hickey scored and Duflin kicked a penalty goal. Then Hickey scored again. The New Zealanders livening np, had Queensland defending the remainder of the half, during which Kenneally scored and converted. Forward play lost the visitors many points. On resuming the visitors showed splendid combination and outclassed the locals. Bradley scored two tries and 1 Irvine one, Hargreaves converting one. Duffin kicked a penalty goal for Queensland,

N.Z. RDGBY DNION. THE REINSTATEMENT QUESTION. By Telegraph—Press Association. ' Wellington Last Night. The management committee of the N.Z. Rugby Union met to-night. An East Coast Maori player applied for reinstatement as an amateur. He admitted having played the Northern Union game and received payment. The committee decided that he must be expelled. The Hawke's Bay Union inquired as to what course should be followed with regard to the Maori player, Peter Thomas, who was believed to have been a member of the native professional team that toured Australia, but who had been reinstated by the Warwick Lnion of Queensland. ' The committee decided to suspend the plaver in question, and call on him to show why hq shouM not be expelled. A numberof players from South Auckland were similarly dealt with. The Auckland Union reported that Angus Campbell and \V. Knox, nresident and secretary respectively -of the old Referees' Association, had officiated as referees in games plaved under the Northern Union rules. The committee decided to suspend the officials mentioned, and call on them to show cause why they should not be expelled.
