JOHNSON v. FLYNN. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. San Francisco, July 1. Reports from. Los Vegas state that Johnson's weight is now 2131bs (lost 31b), and Flynn's- 1941bs (13st 121b.). They will do only light training till the day of the fight. An open -arena has been constructed to seat 17,000. The betting is two to one on Johnson. THE NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. Styles; feather weight final, |Thompson drew with Lane; light weight (final, W. North beat W. Boreham; midIdle weight final, W. Withby beat G. Davis.
TIMARU CHAMPIONSHIPS. Timaru, Last Night. At the South Canterbury championship meeting to-night there was a large attendance. Results:—Feather weight: Bennetts (Timaru) heat Thomas (Winchester); Bennetts beat Smith (Winchester). Light weight: McGrath (Timaru) beat Vernall (Winchester); !McGrath beat Shutt (Timaru). Middle weight: Riley (assumed name) Timaru, [beat Collins (Winchester); Riley beat Gillespie. Welter weight: Scott' (Winchester) beat Scott (Geraldine). Heavy weight: Fitzsimmons (Timaru) beat Langford (Winchester).
