BUSINESS NOTICES.
The attention of farmers is called to Newton King's sale at his Waiwaakiho yards on Friday, when he will offer Messrs. Hill and Ritchie's dairy herd of 23 cows, in calf to purebred Jersey bull. The herd is a nice even lot and should command a ready sale. The cost of living problem seems to have been solved at Morey's great winter sale. Messrs. Matthews, Bennett, and Co. are advertising land in this issue, and emphasise that Inglewood farms are good buying. Acre for acre, and price for price, the firm claims that there is no better value in the Dominion than in the Inglewo'od district dairying, grazing, or sheep farms on their books. Mr. A. B. Gamlin hasi the land business under his eye, ami as one of the most progressive and successful farmers in the district he is conversant with the country and able to give ocular demonstration of its capabilities. The highest tribute that can be paid a trader's merchandise is the repeated demand by the same customer for the same goods. Thus it is extremely gratifying to the Melbourne management to find scores of customers who, when buying the famous l(is Od boot, voluntarily make the remark that "they never buy any other kind." The boot has "made good" by actual test. The event for which hundreds of drapery buyers throughout the province have been waiting, White and Sons' annual sale, commences this morning. Extensive preparations have been made to adequately mark the numerous bargains put forward, but it must etill be borne in mind that every article in the store is xeuueed during the sale period.
