The German-Australian Steamship Company's next liners are to be named Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Fremantle, Brisbane, and Albany. The company's annual report states that the increase in the fleet is due to the rapid development of the Australian States. Tlie report further states that the fact that tooling chambers are required in ships for the transport of fruit and meat has made larger steamers indispensable.
