At the National Sfutual Life triennial investigation meeting, the chairman stated the business of the triennium was the largest ever done. The revenue averaged over £1,000,000 jier annum. The funds increased during the period by £1,330,000, and there was a surplus of £473,000 to be divided, nearly 50 per cent, greater than the amount of three years ago. There was a satisfactory increase of bonuses all round, equivalent to £BOO,OOO, the reversionary bonus basis of the valuation being somewhat more stringent than former!}'.
