rer;, r? ■*■ ;' SUMMARY AND FORECAST. ' By Telegraph.—Press AMOciatioß. Wellington, Last Night. ' The Meteorological Office this evening issued the following weather summary and forecast :-A cvclone of considerable intensity passed over the west coast of the North Island and through Cook strait early on Sunday morning, causing very stormy weather, especially northwards of Hokitika and Kaikoura. Northerly and south-easterly gales were experienced, accompanied with heavy ram in these parts. Unsettled weather has been experienced generally, but conditions have been improved to-day. The barometer has fallen and risen again, and ;is now about normal everywhere. Present indications are for strong easterly and northerly winds, veering to northerly everywhere after about 24 .hours. Hazy and warmer but unsettled conditions will probably increase, with a falling barometer.
