Wellington, Monday. ; Following is the High Commissioner's cable under date London, February 25 f Mutton.—The market ia quiet, but there is a good demand for prime qualities, which Are scarce. There is dull sale for heavy carcases of mutton, which are in large supply. Canterbury and North Island 3%d, light weight North Island 3%d. Lamb. —The market is weak, ana there is dull sale for all lamb. Canterbury 5%d, other than Canterbury 4%d; Australian 4d; Argentine 4(1. Beef. —The market is dull, with no change in prices, viz., New Zealand fores 3y B d, hinds 3%d. Butter.—The market is. quiet and rather steadier for best quality. Choicest New Zealand 100s. Australian 102s, Danish 1225. Cheese.—The markot is a shade weaker. White 50s Od, colored, of which supplies are increasing, 58s. Hemp.—The market Is dull, and very Httlfi tUSiD£»? Oping- Lnr#c shipments are arriving. nW Zealand good fair on spot, £l9 ss; fair grade 'f I s 15s < fair and current Manila £l7. Forward' shipment New Zealand good fair, £l9 10s; fair grade, £lB las; fair current Manila, £lO 10s. The output from Manila for the week was 23,000 bales.
