ORGANISER OF SCHOOL WORKS
A WANGANUI APPOINTMENT. At the last meeting of the Auckland Education Hoard the appointment of an assistant inspector who would .go the rounds of the various schools of the district supervising and helping teachers was made. The same evening the chairman of the Wanganui Education Board proposed exactly the same appointment, and deputed the chief inspector to visit Dunediii regarding a suitable,, man. At a meeting on Wednesday the inspector recommended Mr. I). Stewart, teacher of the Model .School attached to the Normal School ttt Dunedin. The salary is £3OO, with annual increments of £2O and expenses. The position is designated assistant inspector and organiser of school work. Mr. W. Martin, first assistant of the Dunedm City School, was appointed visiting science master by the Wanganui Education Hoard. There were eleven applications.
