IXVERCARGILL WOOL SALE. By Telegraph-Pi ess Association. Inverourgill, Last Xight. A distinct improvement was noticeable at tlie third wool sain today, There was a strong general demand, 'and excellent auction clearances Were effected, prieea advancing quite %.l per lb for medium crossbred fleece, us compared with last month's rale, pieces also improving from '/ad to %d. There van very little super, fine wool offering, hut for what there was yod to 8 / 4 d per lb more was secured than at the January sales. The buyers numbered only a hare dozen, as compared with thirty last month, and onlytwo represented the Continental trade. Americans were entirely absent. In all, 3133 bales were offered, and 511 were passed in. A good deal of the wool had been held over from last sale, and the rest was mostly atlVcted by biddy-bids. The top price was liy 4 d for 20 bales of hogget wool, and the range of prices was: Fine crossbred*, superior to good, liy 4 d to 10'/ g d; good to medium, lOd to 0d; medium to interior, 8y 4 d to 7d; strong do. stag,, 9'/ a d to Sy„A; good to medium. B%d to i'/jd: medium to in. fcrior, 7d to fld.
