New Zealand: South Island £5600, North £7BOO. Total, £39,550. i AN UNUSUAL CASE. Wellington, Yesterday. An unusual case, the first of its kind ever heard in New Zealand, was before Mr. Justice Cooper in the Divorce Coun to-day. An application was made by William Jobson that a decree nisi granted him against Edith Lilian Jobson for adultery be made absolute. The Solicitor-General intervened for the reversal of the decree nisi on the ground that petitioner had since condoned his wile's conduct and had resumed cohabitation since the decree was granted. Collusion was not alleged. There were three children by the marriage, but before the first was born the parties had agreed not to live together. That agreement still existed. The Judge said it was a sad case, and lamentable that a woman should be under the domination of such a man. It was the most singular case in the Judge's experience in the Divorce Court. Judgment was reserved till Friday.
