AFFAIRS IN PERSIA.
BRITISH BLUEJACKETS LANDED. By Cable. —Press Association.— Copyright Teheran, October 31. The Persian Government has requested the withdrawal of the bluejackets recently landed at Lingah to protect the town from a threatened attack by a notorious marauder, but the British Minister has refused to do so until the danger has passed. Kashgai tribesmen raided the Jewish quarter of Shiraz. AN EX-SIIAH ! S INTERFERENCE. Received 1, 10.40 p.m. Teheran, November 1. The Government is alleged to have discovered a letter from the ex-Shah, urging the Turcoman tribe to support the rebels in the Nazaderen province, and has consequently resolved to cease to pay his pension. British and Russian Ministers informed the Government that two legation servants would wait upon the Foreign Minister until the installment was paid. The servants followed him everywhere for two days, and spent the night at the Minister's private I residence. The instalment was then paid.
