MR. MYERS RETURNED BY A GREAT MAJORITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. The 'bye-election for the / ickland East seat took place to-day, and resulted as follows: A. M. Myers (Independent Liberal) 31S0 George Davis (Labor) .. .. 1087 William Richardson (Prohibitionist and Protectionist).. .. 754 R. W. Hill (Oppositionist).. .. 309 G. W. MeKnight (Labor) .. .. 75 Informal 38 Mr. Myers, hiving secured an absolute majority, was duly declared returned. There were 8370 names on the electoral roll.
