HIGH SCHOOL BOARD

The Hiah School Board of Governors met yesterday. Mr. H. H. Ward waited on the Board with reference to the arrangements for furnishing the boa-rrllng establishment, and certain expenditure was authorised. Mr. S. ;Percy-Smith reported that the work of scrub-cutting and cleaning-up at the plantation was not yet complete. The ordering and selection of the school prizes was left in the hands of the chairman, and it was decided to act upon the suggestion of Mr. Smith that the books should include worlcs on the early history of New Zealand. Sundry repairs to gates and fences were left in Mr. Smith's hands to attend to. Accounts amounting to £157 16s 9d were passed for payment.
