W'l'iL, ]•! IDE. SHEEPSKIN & TALLOW SALE. L. A. NOLAN & CO.'S REPORT. We held our monthly sale of the above produce in our Gill street store on the Sth inst. We submitted our usual catalogue, which was all sold at market rates. Hides showed a tendency to ease, this being most noticeable, 'in damaged and improperly salted lots. The condition of hides, generally, owing probably to recent stormy weather, was not so good as usual in point of dryness particularly. Sheepskins were slightly easier, equal to about a 5 per cent, decline on last month's sale. Tallow held at about last month's rates. We quote: Hides —Ox, ordinary heavy 7 ! / s d to 7 1 / id, medium 6%d to 7%d, light 6%d to 6%d; 'cow, .butchers' heavy ordinary 6%d to 7 x /sd, medium 6%d to G%d, light to G%d, cut 6i/ 8 d to 6%' d, slippy 4%d to 6d, yearling's o 5 / s d to G%d, calves' (few offering), seconds 9y 2 d, third 8y 3 d, heavy 8 7 / s d, cut and slippy 5%; horse, heavy 9s to 10s Gd, light Gs Gd to Bs, cut Gs 3tl to Ss. Settlers' cow s%'d to 5%d, cut 4 ] / 3 d to s '/id, slippy 2y 2 d to 4%d. 'Sheepskins—Dry half-"wools 4s 5d to os Gd, damaged 2s to 3s 3d, settlers 2s 3d to 3s Gd, salted .half-wools 3s Gd to 4s 7d. settler.-.' Is to 2s Gd.
