AN IRISH SEAT FILLED. i By Cable—Press Association—Copyright London, June 14. Mr. William Abraham (Nationalist) has been elected unopposed for the Harbor Division of Dublin. The seat was rendered vacant by the death of Mr. T. Harrington. ROYAL MESSAGES TO THE COMMONS. London, June 14. Two Royal messages were reaa in the House of Commons. The first related to the civil list, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer gave notice of motion for to-morrow to consider it and to appoint a committee. The second related to the Regency. On the motion of the Premier, the address was agreed to, assuring his Majesty that his wishes would be complied with. AN EMPIRE CENSUS. Received June 16, 0.30 a.m. London, June 15. Mr. John Burns stated he was communicating with the dominions with a view of taking an Empire census in 1911. Sir Charles Dil'ke advocated a system similar to the Australian, where the census was taken at a quinquennial period, and where details were fuller and complete. SUFFRAGE BILL. Received June 16, 0.30 a.m. 'London, June 15. In the House of Commons, Mr. D. J. Bhaoklefcon's (Labor memlber for South Lancashire); Suffrage Bill was read a first time without division.
