LORD ISLINGTON

TO BE WELCOMED ON WEDNESDAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Next Wednesday the new Governor, Lord Islington, will reach Wellington on the Huddar.t-Parker steamer Ulimaroa. When the Ulimaroa reaches the harbor, the Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward l ) lainid members of the Ministry will go out in a Government steamer to meet Lord Islington before His Excellency lands. A time will then be fixed for the formal landing, Lord Islington will be introduced to the members of the Cabinet bv Sir Joseph Ward, who met His Excellency and Lady Islington in England. The Mayor and councillors of the citv will be introduced to the Governor Tut the Queen's statue opposite the Post Office, and the ceremony of swearing-in will then take place publicly at the old Parliament Building, the oath .being administered by the Acting-Governor, Sir Robert Stout (Chief Justice).
