A romantic story was di dosed at tllie hearing of a cha.ge against a seventeen-year-old girl for being a disorderly person, and for having dressed in boy's clothes. A fortnight ago the girl joined a boys' institute, participated in games, and sought to secure employment on a larm. The discovery of her sex was made a couple of days ago, when the girl stated that she had run away from her home in Canada. She declined to give details, adding that she had committed no crime. She gave as a reason for dressing in boy's clothes, that a single girl could not travel without disguise. She declared she would never wear women's clothes again. She appeared in Court in boy's dress. i The Bench dismissed the case.
