The Government Statist gives the wheat yield for the past season as 25,798,831 bushels. KING EDWARD MEMORIAL. Melbourne, June 14. Subscriptions to the King Edward memorial amount to £13,800. THE WAINUI OVERDUE. Hobart, June 14. The Wainui is now a week out from Hobart to Straban. The weather has been very bad, and it is supposed the vessel is sheltering at Port Davey, with which no communication exists. The steamer Karori leaves to-day for Port Davev with carrier pigeons, and word will be sent back if the Wainui is found there. A BISHOP'S SUCCESSOR. Perth, June 14. The name of Father Clune has been selected for submission to the Pope as successor to Bishop Gibney, who has retired.
