FIFTY DEATHS. HUNDREDS BLINDED AND STUNNED. WRITHING AND SCREAMING ON THE GROUND. By (Jahlft—l'ress Association—Copyright 1 Received June 14, 10 p.m. Berlin, June 14. Lightning in Germany killed fifty persons during the last twenty-one days. Jungfemhelde Park was crowded with pleasure-seekers when the storm broke. A thousand took refuge under trees in the Johannis cemetery, which is surrounded with iron-bound palings. A fearful claip of lightning struck the house and passed into the earth, being carried underground to the palings, where it ran along the iron through the crowd, all of whom were momentarily Winded and stunned. Hundreds lay on the ground writhing and screaming. Most of the injuries consisted of severe 'burns.
