Reuter announces that Johnson and Jeffries signed articles yesterday in connection with a match for the championship of the world. The Daily Mail' 9 New York correspondent reports that Berger, Jeffries' manager, has signed tentative articles. BURNS AND LEES. By Telegrajh—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. Tommy Burns writes.' to the Stag's sporting editor that he is forwarding a cheque for £2OO to cover the deposit of Tom Lees, ex-heavy-weight champion of Australia. Burns writes: "I undertake not to knock Lees out under any consideration, hut will box four or six round* just to show the public how good a boxer Tom Lees is."
