HOW TO ACQI'IRK AND KEEP THEM One of Nature's must welcome gifts to a woman is a pair of beautiful eyes and brows. The died of many a pretty face is diminished by dull,' lustreless eyes, and fine eyes often redeem an otherwise unattractive face. Yet a great deal can be done to make even unpromising even clear and bright and to render eyes which arc only passably pretty really beautiful. Moving the eyes upward and downward and from side to side, with the head held well up and kept perfectly still, tones the muscles which raise and lower the eyeballs, and brings a healthy supply of b'iooil to the eyes', so nourishing tlie tissues. Cleansing the eyes should be followed by opening them while the face is half submerged in a basin of cold water, which is also an excellent tonic for eyes and lashes.

Only read in a good steady light; rest the eyes occasionally when working Inlooking into the distance or lowering the lids, and accept headache and fatigue of tiie muscles as signs either of overwork or that you require glasses.
EYEBROWS ALSO NEED CARE. e Remember, too, that nine hours' sleep a night in a well-ventilated room is the best medicine the eyes' can have.
The eyebrows give expression to the face almost as much as the eyes themselves. We can do a great deal to alter and improve the shape of the brows. Daily care will improve the growth and doss of the brows, and by gentle stroking between the fingers, their very shape may lie altered. The fingers should be well moistened with olive oil or cocoanufc oil, which also stimulates growth. When eyebrows are tl|in and poor in quality, it is a good plan to try daily brushing with a soft tooth-brush moistened with brilliantiuo and vaseline. The only safe tonic for the lashes is cold water, or white of egg and water, prepared -by heating up the white of an egg with two tablespoonfuls' of cold water and dipping the lashes into this cadi morning,
