Two members of 'the Tnsmaiiian Parliament interviewed the Minister for Agriculture to-day with a view to inducing him to withhold the prohibition of tlia Tasmanian potatoes. Subsequently « proclamation nv*s' irsiiert prohibiting the importation of 'lusmiiniiiu and Queensland potatoes.

A conference of the State Ministers fur Agriculture will be held at Melbourne next week, whereat potato disease and the prohibition question will be discussed. A statement is made that potatoes infected with blight have reached Sydney from the western .districts of the Now Hebrides.
