Herbert Gladstone, Secretary of State for the Home Department, in n letter to the Women's Freedom League, said he was prepared to give the fullest effect to the tight of all subjects to petition the King, but reminded the League that the right did not carry the right of personal audience with the King or with the Premier. Six suffragettes have been released from Holloway Gaol. They have refused to take food ever since their convictions.
