Tommy Hums, ex-world's champion boxer, arrived in Auckland yesterday by (lib s.s. Victoria from Sydney and left in (lie evening by the "Alain Trunk express for Wellington. Mi' J. Morey (Morey aiid Son) returned, via the .Main Trunk, on Satur day night, from a business visit to Auckland. He reports that the trip through the cold highlands of the Island is not an inviting one at present.
The death is announced of Mr. J. F Collins, of Kylemore. fnvercargill, in his
