The report was referred to the conference of delegates to lie held at Lime--din at the time of tile JJrown Shield competition.
Tlie financial results of the tour of Ihe British football team will not be available until the returns with respectto the visit to Australia come to hand. It is understood, however, that the profits in connection with the various matches in the Dominion amounted to a sum sullicient to meet the cost of bringing out the team, and in addition covered their travelling and hotel expenses 111 New Zealand. The profits in regard' to the Matches played in Australia are stated to have been much smaller than had been anticipated. It is nrobauu that they will be sufliciently large to pay the extra, expense of sending the team home via Canada and leave a small balance. The delegates to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rughv Union resolved that in the event of iiny profit accruing as a result of the touV as a whole it should be distributed on a pro rata scale among the various affiliated unions.
The Taranaki Guards will play a football match against the Banks and Law at Western Park to-morrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The following will represent the Guards:—L. (low. Polity Jones, W. Kisby, J.
