OX THE COAST OF CHINA. BIG LOSS OF LIFE. Port • Darwin, September 1. Asiatic papers just received give particulars of tlie disastrous typhoon at Hongkong and on the coast of OWna. It is stated that 800 business boats and juaks, 11 guardships, four revenue cutters, and 20 steam launches wera destroyed, besides the river steamer Zingking. The Zingking carried 430 passengers, including two Europeans. Only twelve were saved. Those drowned included Captain Page and the two European passengers. The loss of life during the typhoon was very great. Four hundred* houses were destroyed. •
