ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
Per Preßs Association. Wellington, Monday. While rabbit-shooting yesterday a hairdresser named Thomas Isaac, as the result of the accidental discharge of a gun, was severely injured. Part of the charge entered the left knee, and part the calf of the right leg. Wanganui, Monday. A fatal accident occurred yesterday, A Collegiate School boy, Hector Davidson, whose parents reside at Pahiatua, was cycling, when, apparently through striking a stone or through his bicycle skidding, he fell, injuring his head. He was picked up by his companions and driven back to the school. Medical assistance was immediately provided, but before the doctors could take any steps the boy died from hemorrhage of the brain.
Dannevirke, Monday. A;p?ung man named George King was killed near Ormondville while riding' . down a steep incline on a bicycle. Napier, Monday. Another of Napier's old identitiesMr. T. R. Cooper, a well-known architect—passed away on Saturday evening. Dentil was the outcome of a paralytio seizure. Mr. Cooper's age was 82. He came to the Dominion in the very early days, and participated in several of the gold rushes before settling down to the practice of his profession. Dunedin, Last Night. Lee, a middle-aged Chinaman, was admitted to the hospital to-night suffering from phosphorus-poisoning. He is said to have eaten four boxes of matches. Ho is expected to recover.
