xhe barque Ranpo arrived afcSpm to-day from Napier, after a stormy I Passage of 165- days. The vessel left | papier on July 9th and experienced light head winds for the first three days lhen she encountered a. succession of north-west gales, necessitating her being hove to altogether for ten days At one time she was 350 wiles off iho nil B r' f ntL S + h ie S not w^tber East cS till July 24th. That day, at 5 a.m the vessel was struck by a'terrific squalL and was on her beam-ends. Sails blowing away saved the vesesl from being dismasted.
