The new Labour Party constitution was referred back by the Congress at the instance of the miners and textile workers, whose delegates explained ttat! they were not hostile to the principles i of the constitution, but they felt thatl their unions required time for fuller ! consideration.

There were exciting, scenes at Nottingham during the discussion of a resolution condemning the Labour Ministers, Messrs Brace, Barnes, Hodge, Parker, and Roberts, for supporting the Government's agricultural minimum wage of 25s against the Labour amendment of 30s.

The resolution was carried by an overwhelming majority.
