THE LIQUOR BILL.
Sydney, Dec. 16.
In the Assembly, the Government rejected the Legislative Council's amendment to the Liquor Bill, providing for the closing of hotels at 9 instead of 10 o'clock by 35 to 28.
During .the debate, Mr. Holman announced that he was prepared at any time to introduce anti-shouting legislation. ■ - ■
The Legislative Council read a third time, and passed, the Eight Hours Bill and the Commonwealth War. Powers Bill.
