MOTOR SECTION.

One of the objects of tlie Motor_ Section of the ' National Reserve _ is to provide conveyance and entertainment for the returned wounded soldiers, and with the view of putting the matter on a proper basis a circular has been sent by the committee of the Motor Section of the National Reserve to all. motor car owners in Nelson and district, asking if they are prepared to assist in the following manner:— 1. Meeting steamers on arrival of returned wounded soldiers for conveyance to town? 2. Taking convalescent returned soldiers for motor runs into the country on certain days, and if so what days would suit them 3. Taking convalescent returned soldiers for runs into the country only when they happen to be going and fcsve spare seats?

If convenient to motor car owners, Nos. 1 and 2.would;suit returned men best. The cars would'as far as possible be called up in rotation from the listd compiled ; as a•-'result of replies received to the circular.

It is also proposed to have shortly a combined motor picnic for return?soldiers. •
