i The fighting before Antwerp on Tuesday was of the most furious character. The Germans advanced between the outev forts, but were shot down in thousands.

They brought up fresh reinforcementsd from Brussels, and hurried infantry, recklessly against the Belgian trenches, but eventually they crossed the Nethe.
