PERMANENT PICTURES
Last night at the Theatre Royal "Honesty," together with a fine supporting programme, was screened for the last- time, when there was a large and appreciative audience. To-night's, star attraction is entitled "The Moonshiner's. Last Stand," and is an exciting A.K. drama, tclKng of life in the Tventueky mountains. The Meaeh family—father, son, and daughter Annio-r work an illicit still, and sell whisky to the .Indians. Dove, a detective, is sent up to investigate things, and falls in- love with Annie. However, duty compels him to arrest her father. At the moment of the-arrest the Indians attack the cabin, and it is burnt to the ground. Troops arrive in time to save the lives of the white people, but all evidence is destroyed, and all cuds happily. Another drama of special interest is "The Royal Road to Fame, based on the honour paid to dead artists and the high prices given for their works. An hilarious comic picture, ' 'Simple Simon and the Pelican a beautiful scenic film of Quillan, and several other fine pictures of dramatic, ooinic, and topical interest, will complete the programme.
